Three Sections:

Vermont Open
November 6 & 7
4 rounds, Swiss system. Time control: 30/90, SD/60. Entry fee: $40 if rec’d by 11/4, $48 later. Registration for at-door entrants: Saturday morning, 8:40 to 9:40. Round starting times: 10:00 and 3:30 each day. Guaranteed prizes: $200•$100, U2050 $100, U1850 $96•$64. State champion title & trophy to top scoring Vermont resident. Vermont Chess Association meeting Saturday evening at 8:45.

Saturday U1450
November 6
Open to players who have regular USCF ratings under 1450 or who are unrated. 4 rounds, Swiss system. Time control: Game in 60. Entry fee: $21 if rec’d by 11/4, $26 later. Registration for at-door entrants: Saturday morning 8:40 to 9:40. Rounds: 
10:00, 12:30, 3:30, 6:00. Prizes: cash (for first and second places) and merchandise (for other winners). 
Vermont Chess Association meeting Saturday evening at 8:45.

Sunday U1700
November 7

Open to players who have regular USCF ratings under 1700 or who are unrated. 3 rounds, Swiss system. Time control: Game in 60. Entry fee: $18 if rec'd by 11/4, $23 later. Registration for at-door entrants: Sunday morning,
8:40 to 9:40. Round starting times: 10:00, 12:30, 3:30. Prizes: cash (for first and second places) and merchandise (for other winners).

Any entrant may request a half-point bye for any one round. Monty will be chief tournament director and will not compete. He will try to enlist a "house player" for each section so that no regular entrant is forced to miss a game. The game results will be rated for both the USCF and Vermont rating systems.
