Simultaneous Exhibition by Parker "Monty" Montgomery
I'll be hosting a simultaneous chess exhibition on Saturday, April 4, at 51 Main
in downtown Middlebury. (51 Main is a nightclub type of place that is located at
51 Main Street, next to the bridge that crosses Otter Creek.)
The exhibitor will be myself or the strongest Middlebury College player, who
defeated me in a seven game match last fall.
$3 entry fee, prizes given to all challengers. The smallest prizes will be gift
certificates good for food or beverage at the playing site. Other prizes will
include small chess sets, full-size chess sets and chess books. The value of the
prizes will far exceed the entry fees collected.
Registration will commence at 2:30 p.m. Challengers may begin play anytime
between 3:00 and 4:00.
I urge all Vermont chess players to consider visiting Middlebury for this event.
Any player coming from outside of Addison County may play the exhibitor for free
and be assured of winning a prize worth at least $9.00.
