Upper Valley Scholastic Chess Tournament At the new Richmond Middle School, Hanover, New Hampshire Saturday November 19, 2005
4 Games, Swiss System, Game/30 for grades K-6 and unrated; Game/45 for grades 7-12 No one is eliminated, all play 4 games; each game up to 1 hr long for younger and unrated players and 1½ hr long for older players USCF-rated sections for grades K-3, 4-6, and 7-12. There will also be an unrated section for K-12 players who are not USCF membersTrophies to top six players in K-3 and 4-6 sections. Trophies to the top three in 7-12 overall and the top three in 7-9th grade. Trophies to the top three overall in the unrated section, and the top three players in the younger half of that section. Entry fee: Preregistering by 5 pm on 11/18 $8 On site registration $13 Players in the USCF-rated sections must be USCF members. Annual membership cost of $17 (age 14 or under) or $23 (ages 15-19) may be included with your preregistration or paid on site Please register in advanceOn-site registration ends at 9:15 am. Check-in for advance entries 9:15 to 9:45 amEntry fee will be refunded to preregistered players who withdraw by 7 pm on 11/18Rounds First round at 10:00 am, 2nd through 4th rounds following end of previous round; lunch break GeneralBring money, chess set and board, chess clock (if you have one), USCF membership cardGrocery store and deli in walking distance; food available at tournamentDirections to the***** New Richmond Middle School****** I91 to Exit 13: follow signs across bridge to Hanover; turn left past the green to Route 10 North; I89 to Exit 18: follow Route 120 to Hanover; take right fork at the light onto Park St.; turn right at the 2nd light onto Route 10 North; Both: School is about 1 mile north on Route 10 past Reservoir and Dresden Roads; parking lot is just beyond school.
